Pupil Premium Review

The Teaching Schools Council worked with colleagues from the Department for Education, the NCTL and Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) to produce a revised  Guide to Effective Pupil Premium Reviews. Leicester Teaching School is proud to be able to deliver this new framework and is confident in its potential for impact.

Schools should consider how a pupil premium review best fits with their on-going cycle of improvement to identify when they would most benefit from the fresh perspective of an experienced system leader. A review will be a priority for any school where disadvantaged pupils are failing to progress to their expected attainment. All schools, however, will find that a reviewer will offer new approaches or improve the implementation of existing strategies.

Leicester Teaching School has a number of qualified Pupil Premium reviewers, if you wish to schedule a review please contact Debbie Chauhan via the Contact Us page.

School to School Support

LeTS, together with the Leicester City Teaching Schools Group, is fully committed to strengthening professional collaboration between schools in order to raise achievement of all pupils. Over the past few years there has been significant deployment within Leicester City and County using LLEs (Local Leaders of Education), SLEs (Specialist Leaders of Education) and NLEs (National Leaders of Education).

There are many opportunities for school leaders and governors to work with and receive support from their peers. This guide (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/system-leaders-who-they-are-and-what-they-do) summarises the options available to you and how to access them.
